In a gun free zone.
Shooter must not have got the memo.
Shooter posted that he was going to do it last night.

These will continue to happen as long as the media glamorizes them...
Think about this. I bet nobody in here can name one victim of any of these mass killings that have occurred over the last 15 years. However, I bet you can name the perpetrator(s).
The only thing the media does is talk about the sicko that committed the crime and that he had 'assault weapons' and 'pistols' with lots of 'clips'.
Here come the gun grabbers. Shit, they were already talking about more 'gun control' before the bodies were even cold.
Condolences to the Victims and Families, but sheesh. Enough with this crap. :wtf:

Amen brother.
Practice, and if you need it, get good training.

The guy who disarmed that train shooter in France recently is from Rosewood.
Oh, and he asked the students if their religion was Christian. If they answered yes he shot them in the head. If they answered no he shot them in the legs.

I saw that report of Fox news also about the religion. Interesting how history does repeat. Muslims better watch their back because the Crusades are on. I'm willing to accept the few good muslims that may exist but I hate all the others.
The last time I was at the range I ran thru the IDPA Classifier and the TX CHL qual course.
Learned how fast I can draw and shoot one shot.

The Shitstain In Chief has already been on TV shaming dems, repubs and
indies to stand up to the "organizations" (read NRA), and vote for new laws,
changing laws to end the mass killings.

Laws, new, old, whatever, never stop the nutjobs. Gun free zones are just that sort of idiocy. Guns in the hands of students and faculty are the only method for stopping mass murder.

Shooter is reported to be 20 years old. Too young to legally buy one. Either
the 3 pistols and 1 long gun seized were given to him or stolen by him.
Already laws on the books to cover both. NO need for new/more laws.
You can't control everyone, especially when it's an unknown point at
which a person jumps the track and goes postal....

We'll create a gun free zone and that will stop senseless killing...
We'll reduce the magazine size and that will stop the senseless killing...
We'll get rid of guns and that will stop the senseless killing...
Yea, that will surely work.

Or we can get serious about mental health screenings.
After Virginia Tech the college I taught at did an in depth 2 day training session about what to do if there is an active shooter on campus. It was very effective as it included 2 simulations that included a half a dozen individuals running around shooting blanks.
I know what I need to do to keep myself safe (which doesn't allow for concealed carry on campus). However, I'd feel a lot better if I knew there was a rigorous mental health screening process. I know teaching at a community college we get a lot of kids from less than stellar backgrounds. I'm surprised that we haven't seen more.
It would also be nice if the pro and anti gun people would not start their crap before the bodies are buried.
Tell that to the POS that is now polluting the white house. I think that commie asshole lives for events like this. Of course he never mentions the many more deaths that are caused by young black people killing other young black people for dumb ass reasons. Many more people are killed in a month by the feral ghetto blacks than the total of mass shooting in a year!

be careful of going down this rabbit hole.
mental health?
gov't screening form for mental health-
1. do you like guns?
2. have you ever shot a gun?
3. do you own a gun?
4. do you want to own a gun?
a yes answer to any of the above is prima facie evidence that you are mentally ill, and therefore prohibited from owning a gun.

:iagree: and one of the things I have learned recently while dealing with the Health Department is that every form you have to fill out has the same question on it...
Are there any guns in your home?

Here's a better fix.
Change the Involuntary commitment laws that were forcibly revised by the left during the late 1970's.
I doubt it would have helped in this case since the shooters Mother was an enabler. But I am fairly certain it would have stop the New town shooter and the Kid in Malibu as well as the Aurora shooter and the nut case who shot the AZ congress women.
Now there is an active shooter in VA

Thing is, this guy wasn't even a student. He targeted this campus specifically because it was a gun-free zone with a single unarmed security guard, and possibly because one of the French train heroes was going to school there (according to his Facebook, he actually dropped his classes this semester and is doing Dancing With the Stars instead.) You can do all sorts of mental screening but this guy had something called "sudden jihad syndrome" which I hear is resistant to normal psych screening but effectively screened by something called "Hey, is that dude a domestic terrorist? He has two friends on his MySpace page, and one of them has pages and pages of ISIS dudes. Maybe we should talk to him? Nah, that would be racist."

REALLY??:slap:
100% absolutely really. Hell, I was at a Kid Rock concert last Friday night. They weren't searching anyone, and I could tell by the crowd that there were many many guns there that night. Most polite crowd I've seen at a rock concert. People would actually avoid stepping on your blanket, and say excuse me as they slid past you. If some yahoo would have started shooting, it would have gone like this:
*BANG*
*BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG*
There would have been a possibly identifiable corpse. Maybe.

Yup. Another first for me at an outdoor concert. A dude sitting about 20 feet in front of us holds up his phone sideways (it's pretty dark out at this point) and has a red screen with yellow scrolling text as tall as the phone that says "Looking For Weed". You could only see three letters at a time as it scrolled by. Must have worked because a few minutes later, well, you can guess.

and the stupid administrators said no guns for anyone.....including good guys. the bad guy didn't heed that edict. he knew he'd be the only one with a gun in the pretend gun free zone.
almost all of these 'mass shootings' take place in 'gun free zones'. i avoid such places.

But our Government and the far Left seem to be on the fastrack to remove any semblance of it from our society.
