It's a new one for me. It's for sale about a mile from my house. What the heck is this thing, and I don't think it's a custom either. Weird looking long wheelbase..:confused5:

It's either a '58 or '59 Chevy. Wheelbase is definitely odd, and the cab and front end I'm guessing would be from a heavy duty truck. We already know it's not a standard pickup, but the bed is altered to go with the look. Could maybe of been a flat bed at one time would be my guess.

Here's a 58 or 9 Dump truck, and the front ends of the cab are similar, but not exact unless there was some custom work done to drop the headlights. IF it's a custom it's pretty well done. I'll have to stop in and ask him about it. :seasix:

Late fifties CabOver/Cab Forward dump truck. 5 ton?
Notice how large the front wheel well is, while rear fender is too small on that huge bed.
Would look far better as a flatbed. IMO.

It would make a good car hauler, but it should be configured as a Dually, as it apparently originally was.

The cab part of the truck is a cab over engine (COE). Check the front edge of the door & see how it cuts into the front fender. The (regular cab) dump truck pictured doesn't do that.
The bed portion is custom, lengthened in front of the rear fender to fill the extra space.

They guy I bought my boat from has one for sale with an LS engine in it. Good strong truck. Too bad he wants $70K for it.

Take the back off, build a custom winnebago out of it :)

Looks like a decent build, but poorly executed design. The bed just doesn't flow with the lines of the truck at all.

I'd say heavily customized 1958 Chevy Apache. I had one in my teens - but looks like they entended the bed and chopped the front. I kinda like it..save for the color.

COE ramp hauler with a terrible bed stuck on it...

Here's another example of the trend of putting big truck cabs on pickup truck chassis and slamming them. I like the look of this older cab round nose.....pretty cool.....:yesnod:

This sucker would look like a freight train coming up on you in the rearview mirror in the fast lane! :willy:

Much better execution on this one...
