Traveling to Denmark

Ok Guys,

Need some help. I am leaving in two weeks for Denmark, and my Sprint phone won't work over there. Would a Tracfone or an ATT GoPhone work in Europe?

As long as it's GSM, it should work I think. You need to have them activate it for international calls before you leave.

when in the UK, my phone wouldn't work. (I was reassured by my carrier that it would!!) I bought a cheap phone and loaded it with minutes for around $40.
it served it's purpose for keeping in touch with my kids, and contacting the people I was meeting.

If you had Verizon, they'd let you borrow a GSM-capable phone (like B'berry or such) for while you are there. No charge. Just had to pay international roaming charges which turned out to be about $29 for me.

I did that a couple of times when I went to Germany for business, and my phone is CDMA only. Their B'berry worked like a champ and took almost no getting used to.

i loved Belgium and look forward to going back in 2 years. never been to Denmark tho. curious to see his pictures when he gets back
