I was thinking about asking a stock question here, but I decided first I'd get a lay of the land. How do you like to invest..stocks, real estate, or no investing at all?

I personally have my retirement in an IRA in an index fund. I have some "play" money tied up in the market. I'm also in the research phase to determine if I want to purchase a rental property.

Why do you prefer your method over the others?
