My dad was stationed on Guam when I was a kid. Those things where all over the place.

We don't have them that big, but now and then one comes through the yard here big enough I grab it for a snack.


I remember one time I was out drinking with my buddy Badok, and we spotted a pretty good size one.

He didn't want to be bothered with saving it all, and hauling it home at the time but held it down with his foot while he ripped its two claw arms off.

Then just put them in his pocket for a snack later.. and let it go.


Seemed kinda cruel to me at the time... :island14:

Yeah, I'd say that's kind of harsh. But evidently they can drop off and grow back on their own.
