Wife been feeding 3 stray cats out front, went out this AM and one was in the street all twisted up dead, the other looked mauled, but managed to crawl up into the driveway edge were is slept alot, and die.....

on 9/11 wife all upset of course....:sadangel: :sadangel:

makes me wonder if it was deliberate, but I know that years ago the two cats the ex and I had, both died in the road out front of the house they were like 12 & 14 y/o but at two different times a year apart.....

is it common for cats to get run out and end it all???

The third cat will NOT come inside, it was the first from 15 years ago...she came around and ate like normal....we have two cats inside, that can go into the fenced in back yard and don't seem to wander off any.....

just talked to neighbor guy across the street, he has two cats also, one was inside and fine, the other one out in his back yard, with some hair /skin missing off his ass, his kids said that late last night they saw a couple of pit bull looking dawgs running loose in the street, drinking water from the fountains/dishes......SO it seems they were killed by the damn dawgs.....I think I going to load the shotgun and if I see them running loose again.....short work.....

The closest any of our cats come to the great outdoors is our screened in porch.

Very sad. I have an indoor/outdoor cat that we adopted, who was living in the neighborhood. No collar, but he was friendly and healthy. We took him to the vet, got him fixed, all shots. We worry about him when he's outside, but he really wants out a few times a day and at night. Hope he's safe.

If a pair of pits have started roaming the neighborhood. A lot of pets are going to start turning up dead and missing.

Be careful, the owners of those alleged pitbulls will likely try and f*ck you with the cops. Remember the proximity regs for your area, because they sure will.

... and as a cat owner myself, Good Hunting. :cert:

That's ok, once they maul a kid or two the city might do something.

Went to the bank this AM, local Clay Co. cops in uniform guard there all the time, cruiser outside......18 years no troubles.....gee, wonder why, plus it's next door to the VFW hall, much less VERY high .mil/retired population.....

SO I asked the cop what to do about this shituation, he said that if they on my property, I free to shoot them..... so to put out dawg food at night, and lay in wait, take the food inside after, and call the County to pick up the dawgs from the street.......trick is, IF the carcass is on MY property, I responsible for disposal....but I not allowed to kill them in the street.....CRAP!!!! so maybe food with arsenic in it????

And likely small children.

You got one of those gator highways out back? Thrown the carcasses in there and let the gators eat dead dog.

Our cats stay indoors, also. Too many coyotes around here.

:iagree:

I was gonna ask if Gene had yotes in his neighborhood.

You live up in the hills, so it's understandable. However, I have been seeing them down here in the flats ALL THE TIME Sandy.

Almost a daily basis. Matter of fact, I've been seeing a pair regularly at the intersection of Nordhoff and Hayvenhurst every morning when I drive to the airport. As you know, not exactly Rural where I live. Last week, I even saw one with somebody's pet in its mouth. :sadangel:

Best I figure is they are trucking down Bull Creek out of the hills for the fertile 'hunting grounds' down here. I've even seen Coyote's in front of my house.

On the Mountain, I see them all the time, but down here in the Urban Valley, it's kind of a surprise. :wtf:

I live about 12 miles outside of StLouis and have seen and heard them here. They are everywhere

:seasix:

No.

Poisoning that way you have little control over what gets poisoned and that could bite you in the ass something fierce.

I figure if you're responsible for disposing of the carcasses, then put the dog food where it's easy to dig a shallow grave.

Chances are, one got hit and the other was trying to help it and was hit. Buddies stick together.
