It's hard for me to have even a small amount of sympathy or empathy for people that would do that to their own kids who are so young.

While I completely agree with that line of thought, maybe it's better that they gave up the kids to allow them to have a chance at a caring family instead of being a reminder of "loss of freedom" to the birth parents.

why get pregnant if child raising was not something they wanted.
Or, why make the mistake... a second time ?

Sadly, but if that is all their Mom thinks of them they are better off..
Imagine growing up knowing that. :(

For the kids, you're right. I do hope they'll be decent citizens instead of the path that seemed to be ahead.

Kids might have a chance now. But probably not.

Interesting comment on the situation:
"The firefighters tried to make the experience as comfortable as possible. It was a traumatic experience most definitely," said Houston Fire Department's Kenyatta Parker. "You take any child out of a mother's arms or grasp and they're going to lose it. That's what they did. So in true firefighter form, we found some teddy bears in the fire station to make it as easy as possible considering the situation."
While I applaud what the firefighters did to help these kids, it should be noted that no one "took the children out of anyone's arms or grasp." They were abandoned, which is a very different scenario.

Baby momma is likely going to MAD when the welfare check is smaller because she doesn't have as many kids now.
