View Full Version : Diesel Prices
I don't own a diesel, so really haven't been paying attention. Today, I noticed diesel around Orlando is now within a couple pennies of the price of regular gas...~$2.25/gal. When the hell did that happen....and why?

It was 15¢ cheaper at some stations in Pa. last weekend.
When did that happen and why?

IL:
Gas: $2.99
Diesel: $2.79
MO:
Gas $2.59-2.79
Diesel: $2.35
I always fill up the truck and jugs for the tractors in MO. I can easily save $7-10 filling those up.

Diesel has been right at or slightly cheaper than regular in the SE Ohio area for quite a while now.
I always try to compare my new and old trucks. The cost of ownership battle has shifted WAAAAAY in favor of the big dually diesel over my old 2500 gasser in recent months. Better mileage AND cheaper fuel for the biggun.

I would've seriously considered the diesel 328 had the prices been what they are now. When I got the car, diesel was close to 50c per gallon more. I have a buddy with a diesel Jetta that I am sure is turning backflips right now.
I just paid $ 2.39/gal, and bought several tanks out of town for $ 2.33. You have to be careful where you get it, though, because I STILL see it as high as $ 3/gal. $ 2.49-$ 2.69 is common in our area.

Just bought diesel for the Jetta TDI for $2.49. Regular was $2.19. I have seen diesel selling for $2.09 around here but that was for the "no name" stuff.

Still the same as it was here as of lunch time today...
Regular has come down a bit, but so did diesel.
