Later the same day?

An excellent case for wheelie bars...

When you start getting into the world of purpose-built drag cars, cars made without concern for the laws which govern street cars, you can get into some pretty insane horsepower and speed figures. So a 3,000 horsepower Mustang is the sort of thing you can expect to see at a drag strip. But the kinds of speeds a car like that is capable of aren’t what Ford originally had in mind for the shape of the body, and sometimes things go a bit wrong.
The driver, one Dennis Bailey, walked away shaken but unharmed. At least the safety equipment was up to scratch.

OP video is in cool weather, second one is in warm weather.

Yes, the wheelie bars would have been a definite plus.
Chute deploying as he went over the wall, and the wheel going straight up made nice video highlights.

I thought that was  due to it's not a wreck until there's parts all over like a garage sale.

A couple of years ago, I saw a fox body Mustang run 168 mph in the 1/8th at 4 some odd seconds. Yes it was a turbo car. The launch was uneventful, pulled straight, and I would guess at about 80-100 feet that massive turbo kicked in and it was like watching a rocket launch. It takes quite a bit to impress me, but damn, that was crazy.:seasix:
