1. Southerners know their vacation spots:
The beach
The rivuh
The crick

2. Southerners know their religions:
Bapdiss
Methdiss
Football

3. Only Southerners grow up knowing the difference between "right near" and "a right far piece." They also know that"just down the road" can be 1 mile or 20.

4. Every Southerner knows that tomatoes with eggs, bacon, grits, and coffee are perfectly wonderful; that red eye gravy is also a breakfast food; that scrambled eggs just ain’t right without Tabasco , and that fried green tomatoes are not a breakfast food.

5. There ain't no magazine named "Northern Living" for good reason. There ain't nobody interested in livin' up north, nobody would buy the magazine!

Got any more? :cert:

I prefer Crystal over Tabasco any day. If there is no Crystal, then Louisiana hot sauce.

You good 'ol boys are so limited in your edumacation, you don't think outside the borders. :slap:
Lot's of us prefer to live up north where the air is clean(cept TO), and crime rates low(er), and nobody has to worry about the cost of his own health. :p

Southerners know....

...asking, "How's ya mama" is being polite and not an insult like...other places.

...making the statement of, "Let's take a ride" can involve multiple stops, a drive across three counties, and returning with a single small bolt or a cow.

...returning home at midnight in the summer, one may leave the keys in the ignition of your vehicle while leaving the windows down, walk into the house through an unlocked door, go to sleep, and awake to everything where you left it.

Only Southerners have souls. Yankees do not.
This is why you only find soul food in the south.

There's people who haven't been here in weeks, or even months, on the first page; no logical basis. It's kind of like the liberal media's poles on Republican Presidential candidates, self serving nonsense.

That's current events related, not necessarily political; ignore it if it makes y'all uncomfortable.

All of that. Awesome. Except the buffalo wing sauce thing. That's a little weird. But I'm not here to judge. :leaving:

:D

Any noodle soup with clear broth...stir sriracha in. I add a generous amount to Pho. Delicious.

I also add it to anything I'm using as a marinade, especially for chicken. Or if I'm grilling and brushing on olive oil, I'll mix a little in the oil.

Getting back to the southern side of the thread, I do have a big bottle of red rooster in the refrigerator.

We went to a new casino near here, and Martin Yan has a Chinese restaurant there. Some of the best Chinese food I've ever had, although it's not hard to beat what's available in my county. Siracha sauce was the only condiment on the table there. I wonder if Martin Yan has a financial interest in the company.

Sriracha makes everything better. :funny:

I even picked up a bottle of sriracha flavored vodka. Just because. :D

I've told that story to a few people over the years and I've gotten the "You should have called her boss." comments. You'd have laughed if you'd have heard her delivery. It was classic.
