been a while, surprised the electrolitic caps are any good.....

but a few months ago, my folks '36 Philco radio was brought up on a Variac slowly , very slowly.....and sure enough the caps reformed and thing works good.....:seasix::hurray:

A similar scenario happened to me.
The package was never delivered and UPS said it was either lost or stolen.
Luckily I had bought it with a credit card and disputed the purchase as never delivered, and was refunded the entire cost.

Reported it as never delivered and requested a replacement from Amazon. Another on the way they say.

Ordered a package from Amazon and got the delivery notice from UPS, "Left at back door". That is great, we have a fenced back yard with 3 dogs. Also they said it was in Kentucky they left it. One state over but that is okay, close enough I guess.
Told Amazon and we had a replacement package the next day. Awesome service from Amazon, SUCK from UPS. I believe the USPS delivers better than them most days.
I ordered two items, from separate vendors in CA. One package came VIA FEDEX the other from UPS. The FEDEX package arrived in 4 days the UPS package in 9 days with a delay due to weather. Both packages shipped from the same Zip code in CA, were picked up on the same day.

I ordered the wife an exercise bike from Amazon. She wasn't in a hurry to get it so I selected standard ground with delivery in 7-10 days. The Fedex dude knocked on the door in four days, yes four days. I was surprised a huge exercise bike arrived so quickly.
