Got this one today.

"Is a crimped [RF] cable bad because it'll slow down the electron flow, like kinking a garden hose?"

Yes, it will give you a high VSWR. Kind of like an eddy in a river, it obstructs flow and it will reflect your signal. Thats bad.

the bigger risk is arcing between conductor and shield.

does not affect the actual electrons though.
