Got him at 13 weeks. He lived to be 23 months. Terrible autoimmune disease. He was the last survivor of his litter. They all died including the mother. Nobody saw it coming. No hint of anything in his pedigree.

There is a bigger story than just "my dog died". An amazing, touching story. The story is just being written now. I couldn't touch it for two years.

Thanks. Part of the message of the film is that we assume an awesome responsibility when adopting these dogs. It is sad to see them go, but at the same time, I owed him that grace. He was suffering.
