Brought this home today from our clubhouse gym. They are remodeling and putting in new equipment, so they held a silent auction on the old stuff.
I got all of this for $150
300# Bench Press
200# Military Press
200# Mid Row
All of it is Hoist commercial grade equipment. :hurray:

I've been using that stuff for the last 20 years, and these are my 3 favorite machines. They will see a LOT of use, as I take breaks during the work day for some weight routines. I will definitely use them more now that they are home vs. when they were up at the clubhouse. :yesnod:

Gym equipment is something you should never buy new. Stuff goes cheap second hand. Hell, I bought an entire gym with about 25 pieces of equipment, mostly commercial grade for under 5K. Plus literally tons of free weights. All set up and ready to go as a business.

Great deal!
I will bet you put those to good use. :seasix:
I always noticed a lot of used gym type equipment like those bikes that don't go anywhere along side of the road on trash days.
People buy that stuff with good intentions I think, and never use it..
After awhile it is just something to hang stuff on like Spence said.
I picked one up one time thinking I could maybe sell it at a flea market when I use to go to them all the time, no one would even look at it when I marked it down to a dollar..
I hauled it to an auction when I was taking a load one time, and could not even get a bid, so left it in their dumpster.

Yvonne is always wanting to buy something new, and I eagerly help set it up.
Too bad our work-out area is soooo far away from our living room; I just never find my way there :nonod:

After seeing pics of both of you, that story is totally believable.

I went to Play it Again Sports for a quote. They offered $150, the same as I paid, so I know I bought it right. I plan on using it heavily, but if I ever want to get rid of it, I know I won't lose any money, and if sold on Craig's List, I can make a nice little profit.
Regardless, I plan on using it. :yesnod:

I would love to have a home gym. I spend about an hour a day at the gym and would get a lot of use out of one.
Need a bigger house first.
The gym we belong to has all kinds of nice equipment. Showers. Sauna. Locker rooms. Tennis. pro trainers on staff. 2 pools. One pool is on the beach.
Problem is, there is also a Tiki bar that serves burgers and beer. :Jeff '79:

There is a gym in our town that also does licensed physical therapy. They have a beer and wine bar.:yesnod:

No, my weight is just fine (would be happier 10-15 pounds lighter). I still do the elliptical 5 days a week, 30 minutes at a time. I want to continue to keep my upper body mass, and be a generally big-ass'ed mofo. It's served me pretty well thus far to date. Being big in racing sucks, being big (and smart) in business has worked out pretty well in 30 years. :yesnod:
