I like Hardees food. Their onion rings are amazing for under two bucks, and their burgers are easily the best out of the drive-thru places.
However... putting a hotdog on a cheeseburger is like putting gum on a Hershey bar...

:iagree: I had Hardees yesterday in Toronto. The cheeseburger, milkshake, and fries were excellent by fast food standards.
My wife, on the other hand, hated her cheeseburger so badly, that she didn't eat it... :wtf:

You know, I like their biscuits, but that thing looks like something a goat wouldn't consume.

In-N-Out was and is my "go to" burger, but I'll never turn down a Carl's Jr. Double Western Bacon Cheeseburger.
Carl's Jr. was started by Carl Karcher in southern California where I grew up, so it was always very popular there. They bought Hardee's a few years back. The food really isn't bad by fast food standards.

This....so much this. Around here it's dominated by Whataburger. They're ok but just not In-N-Out. I've also tried Five Guys...meh, it's ok but not worth $12 for one person. Five Guys does give one a shitload of fries though. I've only seen one place give more. Holland. Those mofo's love Pomme Frites aka french fries. And one other thing, one has to ask for ketchup since they normally use mayo as a dipping sauce.

I would kick someone's ass to be able to have an In-N-Out burger here. Never gonna happen on the east coast though.:sadangel:

My son lives and dies for Whataburger. He practically threw a party at his dorm when he found out that they're building the first Whataburger in Fayetteville near the University of Arkansas. Then again...he's a knuckle-dragger with a cast iron stomach.
I'm ok with Whataburger...I've had much worse. But I've always loved In-N-Out. Back in the day, there were no fancy sit down In-N-Out's. It was drive-thru only and a walk-up window. We'd cruise Van Nuys Blvd. and then go get burgers and eat them leaning against our cars. The other thing about In-N-Out is the staffing. If I were going to staff a company, I'd go to my local In-N-Out and hand out business cards offering jobs. The kids there are ALWAYS polite, well mannered and the work hard. I've never ever seen anyone at an In-N-Out dragging their feet. Impressive, considering most fast food joints employ people who can barely tie their own shoelaces.

Don't be so sure. In-N-Out used to be a California only company. The Snyder family (who started the company) didn't believe in expanding too far because their food isn't frozen. Then they opened a few places in Nevada and Arizona. Now that their children have taken over, they've expanded to Texas and other states because they've found ways to locally source their products.

There are two In-N-Outs here in San Antonio. The one we go to is usually packed unless you go close to 11am. Otherwise, good luck with that.
In-N-Out Burger - San Antonio, TX, 10918 Culebra Rd.. (http://locations.in-n-out.com/298)
With this location, the site survey was spot on. It's a busy area with many other businesses and even a couple of good size plazas.

I hope you are right, when they got to Texas I was surprised, just for the fresh food reason. I have yet to go to one that wasn't packed.:seasix:

Here in Southern CA, we have several In-N-Out burgers, and they are always packed between 11:30 to 1:30. My favorite place to have a burger and fries.
