View Full Version : Sabbath mode
New oven and warming drawer are equipped with a "Sabbath Mode" feature.
I'm not sure if this means I've hit the big time or if I should just convert.

You know that Orthodox Jews cannot light a fire and a bunch of other stuff on the Sabbath? So the oven with a warming drawer is how you can keep food warm.
I am not a member of the Tribe, but a couple of my boyhood friends were Jewish and I learned a bunch of it hanging out with them. :yesnod:

Didn't know that
It was news to me, too.
I was under the impression that appliances couldn't be used at all, but I don't know much about specific Jewish rules.
I my business, we call that a "work-around".:D
