It was the 1968 or 69 version of this bike...

Metallic black. It had a battery operated horn, turn signals, and a headlight. I was the shiznit. My mom worked at BF Goodrich and back in the day they had a company store for employees only and had deep discounts. I know this because we were too poor for me to have a bike that nice any other way.

The two pictures lower left and two more lower right where I am standing on a wall, were taken in Rock City in the same spot at age 8, 18, 24 and maybe around 33.

The second one is my great grandfather. My son was born 4/2012 and he passed in May, just a couple weeks before our trip. I would have given almost anything to have a picture of my son and his great great grandfather together.

There was one place in our small town that sold bikes and accessories. I just happened by there today and parked out front was a early '70s bike with a metallic banana seat! I think it also had tassel's. The store owner has always been a vintage collector. I plan to stop by and see if it is actually for sale or just outside for the memories.
