Exhaust fixed. Have a small brake fluid leak that I think I fixed, now a power steering fluid leak to deal with. UGH.

Had to adjust the needle and seat, fuel in the window was at the top, and it was running like crap into the secondaries, seems better now. Also, when cold only, I get clutch chatter in neutral. I'm not going to drive it until I absolutely verify that the throwout isn't touching the fingers, I did before and it wasn't, so it's something to look into. When the car is warmed up, don't here it. Maybe everything is just breaking in?

Still have some other little problems to deal with...

Not getting on it yet. It was bogging like crazy getting it into the secondaries on the way home from the exhaust shop. I hadn't really done anything to it outside of bolting on the carb and driving over there.

Got home and noticed the fuel level in the windows was all the way to the top, I adjusted the needle and seat back down to the mid level and it runs a lot better. :yesnod:

I have an idle and startup vid that's pretty cool, but I can't upload it right now for some reason, maybe later...

Nice. I've always loved the '73 :hurray:

Is that your wife in the Tacoma taking the video?

Q. Did you cut the flywheel when you put the new clutch in?

And which kind of pilot bearing did you put in, sintered bronze or roller? The old style bronze stands up better than the rollers.

No, my buddy Noodles took it. :):seasix:

New GM Flywheel, I had it balanced by Dave at the Balance Shop in Reseda, CA. Engine builder included it along with a standard (not roller) pilot bushing. :island14:

I requested it. :yesnod:

Sounds great so far Scott! Will be nice to get the bugs straightened out.

I've never had a build that was perfect out of the gate. They all required some re-doin' or some fab work/additional mods. :cert:
