Kleenexes (pronounced "Kleen--eee-zees") are a onderful invention...but they suck as snot rags. Blow you nose into one once, and here's what you have:

Here's a solution: Separate the two plies of a paper towel:

Many brands of paper towels come with a perforation down half the towel, which makes an ideal sized snot rag:

But here's the great news: No matter how much snot you blow onto the paper towel, it doesn't fall apart!

When I was a kid they use to have "Man-size" Kleenex.They would actually last more than once.

I been using paper towels for eye and nose draining for some years now...
but when I get up in the AM, I lean over the sink, and sniff water outta my hands, then blow hard and 3-4 times, untill it's ALL gone.....

Scott's "Shop Towels on a Roll". If you are even more parsimonious than Larry, these are strong enough to launder and reuse.
