I have no idea and is the first I heard about it till Uncle Meat sent the link to me.

From the article there are only a few places that it can be bought, so unlikely I will ever see it.

But I will be down in the city on the 9th when Rob gets back here.. so may look around and see if I can find it at SM

Prolly not in my budget, I prefer the dollar stuffs.. :Jeff '79:

And, while it is "Blue Label" it is still a blended Scotch.

I would much rather have a good 25 year-old The Glenlivet XXV.

Yeah thanks.. even my local jungle Sari Sari store has Boracay Rum. :Jeff '79:

I have my own homemade local blend that is better though.. :yesnod:

The article did say it would be available at SM, but didn't say where at SM, (Thats a big Mall) so guessing their own store as you suggested.

I have had it a couple of times over the years. Always in a business entertainment environment where someone's expense account took the hit for a $20-25 drink.
Its very nice but there are single malts at a quarter the price that I think are just as tasty

Just buy an empty bottle and fill it with the cheap stuff.

When I had the boat out on the lake; I filled and empty bottle of Chevas Regal with Wild Turkey, and let all my dates think that they were extra special getting the good stuff.

I am going to try and get a massage on Wednesday if you want to go to the zoo also. This looks interesting and I can only imagine that this is not available here in the states. So I have to take advantage of it before someone dies from it and they no longer offer this.

Want to go?

BTW.. not often but sometimes huge snakes are still found here..

A few years ago Frankie a friend of mine caught a 15 footer just down the beach from our place..

It was delicious.. :datawiz:

And that is exactly why you don't find many around here.. :Jeff '79:

Check out the Big Duty free stores in the airports you will transit in. Just be careful about carry on.

I fly through Manila this time so maybe I will find something there. I have never been through that airport before since I always fly through Inchon.

I have never been through that airport before since I always fly through Inchon.According to the Forbes article they are making 7,107 bottles of it and the bottles are only available in the Philippines, at S&R branches, Landmark Makati, Trinoma and SM stores.

I would be eternally grateful if you were able to abscond the country with one of these bottles in tow. Of course I'm more than happy to cover the cost and any additional handling charges. Would even throw in a few extra Peso's for the annual Christmas gifting you guys have been pulling off the last couple years. Hell what's a few more of my hard earned dollars going to the P.I.? I think I'm already supporting a dozen or so family members over there now! :D

It is not legal to mail to from here, would it be legal in the US to mail it from his state to yours? or will you have to go pick it up at his house and drink it with him? :island14:

:lol:I would have to go pick it up at his place. Shipping alcohol to an address in Alabama is illegal. :cuss:

However I would be more than willing to bring a bottle of something else vs opening that limited edition beauty! :seasix:

Might be a good day trip anyway for me and the family. I bet they would love to see the rocket center :seasix:

I bet you hear Pogi Impacto all the time.. (kinda like a Handsome Monster)

Rob has actually studied and knows quite a bit of Cebuano now, he might get lost on the Tagalog though...

Does you wive understand any Cebuano or Bisaya?

Here on our island it is a mix of Cebuano, Bisaya and their own local dialect.

I only hear Tagalog on TV, or DVD movies they watch here, but pick up on it real quick when I hear someone speaking it.. and know they are not from around here, usually a tourist.

When we met years ago she was pretty fluent in about 6 or 7 dialects (Cebuano & Bisaya were two she could converse in). Nowadays she has to stop and think for a second on occasion because she can't remember the word even in Tagalog any longer! My wife has no "Filipina" friends here to speak of and only occasionally talks with family so she's way out of practice. She's becoming too *GASP* AMERICANIZED!!!!
