I really just miss my kids for the most.. :(
Way too quiet around here to feel normal.
No the wife has not left me forever... and will be back.
And to explain... Her little sis has hooked up with a foreigner and will be moving to the USA on the 17th of next month.
So while all of the family is very excited for her, and her new life.. but at the same time will miss her very much....
My wife and all of her family want to spend as much time with her while they can before she moves on to this next part of her life.
And so I understand.....
It may be a long time before they see her again.
But for me, besides all of this stuffs that is going on... my whole world is kinda upside down and different..
My wife and kids left several weeks ago now to go to the city to be with her family.
It has been several weeks now that I have not had to tell my son Chico to not pester his sisters for one. :island14:
Have not had to tell Aaliyah not to beat up her little brother Chico either.. :island14:
I have spent most of my time working on my websites to keep myself busy, so explains why I have not been posting here much lately.
Damn it is just way to quiet around here to be normal..

Yep, I know this story...very well. The wife has traveled to see her family around the states and back in the P-I. I do enjoy the time alone....for about a day or two and maybe even a week but after that....not so much. Hang in there, Tim. The family will be back together soon.

It's the P-I, the list of new things to do or be done to is very short.

Lonely? Have you tried hookers and blow?
Yup... years ago...
Not for me in the least... and certainly had more than my fill of it in the USA to be sure... :yesnod:
Funny you should mention it though, as when I came over here I made it my number one plan to avoid all bar girls... and bars as much as I could.
But most foreigners want that when they come over here for some reason..
and they can't seem to understand why it does not work out for them in the long run... :island14:

You know what. It has taken a long time but it has been worth it. I will not only have a new girlfriend but also a little boy to help raise. I am so excited about having the both of them here. The visa application process is not for the faint of heart. It takes a lot of time and patience to deal with two different countries government agencies and the crazy things they want as part of that process.
But it is done and I am happy to start the next steps with my new family.

Good on ya, Rob and now, family. The visa application is something else, I don't know what but something else. :D
And don't even get me started on the US Citizenship process. We followed the process, I might add exactly legal and to the "T", and it's comical at times. Fill out paperwork, pay a fee, and wait. Fill out the same paperwork again, pay another fee, and wait again. Go see dude/dudette who can put eyes on the two of you, ask a few questions, stamp, sign, stamp, sign..all at the same time, it was sorta cartoonish. Wait. Mail comes and notifies the bride she has a citizenship test. Take test. Wait. Mail comes and notifies the bride she will be part of the melting pot. Bride gets citizenship while I'm deployed to yet another godforsaken place and I get pics. Hey, she got the blue passport privilege, right?
This is the Readers Digest version of ~5 years of diligence and following the rules. Meh, I shoulda bought her a ticket to Mexico and had her walk across. Then, she woulda got an express line to the front and all kinds of benefits while waiting. You know, potential Democratic voter and all. :D

Can you imagine???? That place would be a mad house - and I would be right in the thick of it with a box of chicken and a hand full of spaghetti while smiling from ear to ear.
I wont forget last time I was there we stopped at Jollibee for some food while driving to Hagnaya and JC ate a ton of spaghetti while we were driving (he was in my lap). About an hour into the drive he looked at me and then looked at his mama and then puked all over my legs and my backpack. I happened to be videoing at the time and caught it all on video, not the puking, but you could hear everyone all frantic all of a sudden. then you see my leg covered in noodles. It did suck at the time - but luckily we had a ton of tissues and I had an extra shirt that we just used to clean everything up and never had to pull over. That was the longest trip up there I ever took, we drove through like 4 Sinulog festivals that day and it took us like 5 hours instead of 2.5 like it normally is.

I always have some family members staying here with us, and when they come it is usually for years.. :yesnod: :Jeff '79:
Right now for the past year or so we just have one other sister staying with us and a brother..
That's not too bad really. it use to be 3 sisters and three brothers staying with us, and sometimes the Mom, or sometimes the Dad.
One time the Dad came to visit us in December, and I asked him how long he planned to stay.
He replied.. "June"
For some reason I really don't mind and have adapted over the years..
I have started building them their own house here on our lot and hope to get it finished for them one of these days.
