Any news about movies coming our way that don't seem to be huge smoking piles of excrement that we should be looking forward to? (i.e.: Not like Marmaduke, Yogi Bear, etc)?
:waiting:

Here are some movies I'll be seeing in the months to come. I'm not saying they won't suck, just saying I'm anticipating them and will see them in theaters.
November:
A Christmas Carol : Zemeckis and Jim Carrey do Dickens in 3D. I'll see this and imagine what Zemeckis' upcoming remake of The Beatles' Yellow Submarine will be like: YouTube- A Christmas Carol Secondo Trailer Eng
The Men Who Stare At Goats - Looks hilarious... watch the trailer: YouTube- 'Men Who Stare at Goats' Trailer HD
The Fantastic Mr. Fox - Stop motion animation from Wes Anderson. Clooney might just own November: YouTube- FANTASTIC MR. FOX - Official Theatrical Trailer
Red Cliff - Chinese Braveheart set a couple centuries ago, directed by John Woo. This film is 2 movies and 5 hours long in China. It gets cut down to one movie for the rest of the world. What a rip-off. Still can't wait: YouTube- Red Cliff (trailer HD 480p)
Planet 51 - Tri-Star enters the Pixar realm. Check out the alien kid's dog: YouTube- Planet 51 - Trailer
Ninja Assassin - Put "Ninja" in the title of your movie and I'm forced to see it. (Yes, I saw Beverly Hills Ninja) Action looks good, CGI... not so much. Hopefully those effects are incomplete: YouTube- 'Ninja Assassin' Trailer
2012 - This is no different from any of those 70's disaster movies, and I loved them: YouTube- 2012 - Official Trailer High Definition
I do like this version of the trailer better: YouTube- From Garrison Dean + io9.com - 2012: It's a Disaster!!!
December:
The Lovely Bones - Peter Jackson adapts the Alice Sebold novel of justice from beyond the grave (sorry, no zombies): YouTube- 'The Lovely Bones' Trailer HD
Avatar - Game changer? The Future Of Cinema? The First Great 3D Movie? All I know is; get the f**k out of my way, I'm first in line for this: YouTube- Avatar Trailer Lanzamiento
The Imaginarium Of Dr. Parnassus - Terry Gilliam doesn't make enough movies and this is Heath Ledgers last: YouTube- 'The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus' Trailer HD
Sherlock Holmes - Guy Ritchie turns up the volume on Holmes with Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law, who disappears into his performance as Watson: YouTube- Sherlock Holmes Trailer 3
January:
Legion - January is a movie wasteland. This has Dennis Quiad in it: YouTube- 'Legion' Trailer HD
Edge Of Darkness - Mel's first starring role since Signs, and he does this TERRIBLE Boston accent, but like I said, movie wasteland: YouTube- 'Edge of Darkness' Trailer HD
February:
Shutter Island - Martin Scorsese directs Leo DiCaprio in a psychological thriller set in an island mental hospital for the criminally insane: YouTube- 'Shutter Island' Trailer HD
A Couple Of Dicks - Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan are buddy cops directed by Kevin Smith. There is no trailer yet but its Kevin Smith and his movies are totally watchable if you're high. No trailer yet.
March:
Alice In Wonderland - Is there a classic story better suited to being made into a movie by Tim Burton and Johnny Depp? No, there isn't: YouTube- Alice in Wonderland Trailer [HD]
Clash Of The Titans - I have a soft spot for Ray Harryhausen movies, so when I heard this was being remade I wasn't pleased. "We can do it with CGI now" is not an excuse to remake a movie. I'm still not pleased, but I can't not see it... you know? No trailer yet, but here's a piece MTV did on the set: YouTube- Clash of the Titans Set Featurette Movienewz.com
... and because I find the mechanics of filmmaking interesting, some raw b-roll from the MTV thing: YouTube- Clash of the Titans B-Roll Footage Movienewz.com
April:
Kick Ass - Teen Comic Fanboy realizes his dream to be a costumed vigilante. Hilarity ensues. Based on the comic by Mark Millar. No trailer yet.
MacGruber - Ok, I don't watch Saturday Night Live, but I'm told this is their best character in years, apparently a spoof on MacGuyver. If there is a Richard Dean Anderson cameo, I'm totally in. No trailer yet.
Piranha 3D - Yeah, I know. There is NO WAY this can be a good movie. But remember, bad movies can be just as fun. I do find it funny that we're getting remakes of Jaws ripoffs. How far can we be from Jaws 5? No trailer yet.
A Nightmare On Elm Street - Robert Englund gets booted as Freddy gets rebooted. Starring Jackie Earl Haley as Kruger and some no-names as his victims. Johnny Depp was in the original. Remember that? YouTube- 'A Nightmare on Elm Street' Trailer HD
Summer '10
May starts off strong with Iron Man 2. Here's a crappy cam-cap of the footage shown at ComicCon '09...
YouTube- 5 Minutes of Iron Man 2 Footage from Comic Con 2009
War Machine FTW.
Sadly, we've learned that Jon Favereau, director of the Iron Man movies, will not be directing the upcoming Avengers movie. Bummer.
Bombing 3 weeks later will be Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time...
YouTube- Prince of Persia The Sands of Time 2010 Trailer HQ
Gamers might be interested in that. I'll be seeing Iron Man 2 again...
Wisely pretty much everyone else is staying away from Tony Stark and the only other interesting movie in May (so far) is Ridley Scott's retelling of the Robin Hood legend. No title so far.
June sees The A-Team on the 11th, the Josh Brolin/Megan Fox starring adaptation of the comic Jonah Hex and Toy Story 3...
YouTube- 'Toy Story 3' Trailer HD
I still can't believe these characters are 14 years old.
July 2nd brings us M. Night's adaptation of an American anime The Last Airbender. I'm interested in this because the tv series is pretty damn good.
YouTube- 'The Last Airbender' Teaser HD
The Predator reboot/remake from Robert Rodriguez drops on the 7th and Universal debuts their 3D supervillain comedy Dispicable Me...
YouTube- 'Despicable Me' Trailer HD
Friday, August 13th is the natural day to release Friday The 13th Part 2, and for the second time in the franchise's history Jason kills in 3D.
Stallone makes movie history on the 20th of August with The Expendables. Not only will this feature the greatest action movie cast of all time, but I'm almost positive it will set the world's record for most uses of "slow motion running/flying from explosions" in one movie.
YouTube- The Expendables Trailer (HQ)
I'll probably see Resident Evil: Afterlife in August too... I mean Mila Jovovich...
Coming out in Summer '10, but without a solid release date yet are Beverly Hills Cop 4, xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage and a CG animated version of Frank L. Baum's The Wonderful Wizard Of Oz.
That is pretty much the next year in movies I'm interested in. Expect release dates to move and more interesting films to appear out of nowhere as we go.
Jesus what a post man

Yup, in development at Millennium Films. This is not really a remake, more of a reboot. Its been said the film will be more faithful to the original Robert E. Howard/Weird Tales stories.
