Some of you who are bored enough to read my threads may remember that my old computer got infected with Cryptoblocker a couple of months ago. I ought a reconditioned computer to avoid paying the $300 ransom. The new computer was truly plug-and-play...thank Gawd.
Here's what's creepy. The new computer displayed the same banner of sites as my old one, and if I click on >> on the right it brings up a list of sites including "Imported from IE (Internet Explorer)". WTF? I added that to my old computer when I went to Google Chrome as a browser; how did my new computer know that???:confused5:

Chrome stores your bookmarks in the cloud for you, and as long as you log into Chrome, you'll get that option. Also the import from IE is normal. Since you use Chrome, I hope you know about incognito mode.

Essentially, when you are in Chrome, at the top right of the browser you'll see the three Windows minimize/restore/close icons. To the immediate left of that will be your name if you are logged into Chrome. If you click that with your left mouse button, you have the option to switch user or go incognito. I like to activate incognito mode by right-clicking the Chrome launch icon and pick "New incognito window".
If you want to browse without creating a history, that's the way to do it.

Maybe I did and don't remember it, but I don't recall logging into Chrome. I just went to its site and installed it. No names needed.

There's more to this then. You don't recall, you say, but on the night of the 16th where were you? Did you click a thing or didn't you? Remember, you are under oath.

Same here. Got a new PC, installed FireFox and Yahoo and my home page came right up like nothing ever happened. It's all on their servers.....or in the cloud(s)....somewhere out there in space.:bilmem:

It's in the cloud. The cloud is like a system of tubes, and the tubes are filled with clouds of cat mist. Think of it as the internet, which is a system of tubes filled with cats, but no mist. It's no more complicated than that.

On the 16th I was making love on a motorcycle in a peach orchard in Florida. Would you repeat the date, please?

The problem with that alibi is that there wasn't a single witness or anyone to collaborate that story. :leaving:

Your Honor, I have right here a recording from the web camera on the defendant's computer clearly showing him sitting down in clear view, watching a video of a woman in a Florida peach orchard "perform" on top of a motorcycle. I'll admit, he's fairly accurate with that...so...objection?
Overruled!
OK, OK, just wanted to clarify what the defendant means by "making love" your Honor.

Why would anyone want to do that? :confused5:
