...and I'm hangin' with some superannuated buds (kinda like moi) who are retired, plinkin' and playin', and I note that being a semi-ol' fart in 2011 is not all bad...we've got a few bucks, a few toys, a few skill sets, and we ain't gonna outlive our capital, our kids, or our toys. I note I'm gonna pick up a 6.5mm cal rifle for my 65th b'day in a few months and we laff at how our plumbing still works and how life, gran'kids, gran'nephews and gran'nieces are fun. I then shoot 25 straight at trap and claim I could survive a randy evening with a 45 y/o...the gang giggles and we get lattes', and go back for another round. I got 24 of 25.

Life is good.

Bless you, my son (the Archbishop asked me to say that as he could not join us this evening...he did not state the reason but I suspect he was on a date with a small boy.)

Why, thank you, Larry. I sold my Honda Shadow Spirit 1100 four years ago and I note that neither that bike or me are made any longer (or shorter, for that matter).

I got a 22 year old slim to jiggle my latte, I got snipped so I don't have to go to a range to shoot blanks and I wouldn't even accept an IM from a 45 year old. Maybe in 30 years.............. but then, I'm only in my first year of retirement.

I don't do much trap anymore, but I use a Rem 1100 Sporting with a 26" bbl and I shoot mod. choke. I got it so I could go duck and goose hunting with my nephew and 8 y/o gran'nephew (he calls me his best friend, I take him every few weeks on some adventure, and I'm teaching him the NRA basic rifle course with his .22 that his dad got him).

Mostly, I play with rifles and test my handloads (my gran'nephew and i spent a day making some wonderful elk loads for his dad with my match brass and Barnes TSX 168gr hunting loads that we gave my nephew for a Christmas present...neph & gran'neph were thrilled to have hunting loads for next season that kid made for dad...I loved being a part). I'm setting up Camp Harry for the gran'nieces and gran'nephews (who asked their 'rents to get it organized) because I know all the good museums, parks, zoos, movies and airports in the greater Denver metro area and, egad, they think I'm fun! Life is truly good.

Still loving your callimammopygous av...I used to compete fairly heavily in the mid '70s and carried a AA average at 12 and 20 ga., a bit lower in 28 & .410, but choked a bit in the big ones. I don't do much skeet now...mostly I shoot CAS, high power military rifle, some JC Garand matches and I'm kinda toyin' with going to the big matches to shoot in senior classes. Saturday trap with the guys is fun.
