I don't know. Mcveigh only sat in prison for 4 years.

He refused appeals and the Anti death sentence groups help.
This Muslim coward called in a NUN to help him escape the death penalty. It will be decades before he dies. If ever.
We need serious reform of the Legal and punishment system in this country. We incarcerate way yo many non violent people for idiotic reason then argue to about killing the convicted mad dogs that live among us.

It sure would beat that crappy pay per view boxing joke they showed last week.
They'd prolly make a hell of a lot more money too, they could pay all of the costs and then distribute the rest to the victims.

Capital punishment is only self righteous vengeance for the living.
The criminal is dead. Where his soul goes is not mans decision.
I believe hard labor is a better sentence. And a better criminal deterrent.

No it's not. It's killing mad dogs who are a real threat to society.

I agree to kill the mad dog in the act of being mad. But as a sentence it does nothing but satisfy mans vengeance. IMO.

You are entitled to your own opinion.
Your method is long term punishment just to punish. I just want them gone. When the Mad Dog human is dead he can no longer hurt the Society or drain it of resources.
I am for efficiency. Get rid of the Mad dogs in our society. Rape, Pedophilia, certain violent crimes, Bank fraud, SEC fraud, Treason and Government corruption should all have options to get the death penalty.
Personally, I think the harder punishment for that kid would be life buried in a hole in Supermax prison, in solitary, in a concrete cell 23 hours/day. He's a puss and would go mad in short order, I'm thinking. I wouldn't feel bad prolonging his suffering as he breaks down and succumbs to madness. Truly, the death penalty is the more humane option....at least at the appointed hour, his suffering will be over.
Having said all that, he deserves to die, in spite of the fact that death is the more humane option.

What people keep forgetting iis it's called a "Criminal JUSTICE system" Not a Criminal PUNISHMENT system."
There are much better ways to Punish people. The goal here is justice.

I'm all about lower taxes and less government, but honestly, I'd be happy to pay a surcharge to keep that kid in a dark, solitary hole for the rest of his life.

You know what would save society money...
Have the convicted criminals clean up the joint. Scrape and paint the bridges. Pick up the trash. Broom off the sidewalk. Shovel the snow.
Put them bastards to work. :seasix:

While I agree vengeance is never the answer to a bad situation. I feel that off we show any form of compassion or leniency then we show to other home grown terrorists that they too will have a chance to spread their poison.
Refuse him contact with anyone until his final day.

The bombing was a heinous act and, in accordance with Ron White's prognostications, should earn that murder "head of line privileges" at the nearest Federal facility. While I wish that the incident had never occurred I do wish that it had occurred in Texas rather than Massachusetts.

Appeals will drag on, cost Americans money. Since the death penalty was the verdict, do it and get it over with.
I've heard compelling arguments that a death penalty case, conviction, death row, appeals, etc., costs far more than a life without parole; certainly putting family and victims through twenty to thirty years of appeals is cruel on them.

The only reason it cost so much is due to a handful not activist lawyers.
Take a look at how Singapore uses the death penalty. And make note of their crime rate and repeat offender stats.

F That! AAA is for third world powers. We could knock him down with an RF energy weapon, or a laser, or sharks with lasers on their heads!
I would have rather seen him come out to Florence, CO for 23 hours a day staring at walls with no real human contact, and one hour a day seeing only straight up at the sky.

Ok.
Let's compromize.
During the 10-20 year appeals process, we put the little bastard to work. I get my city cleaned up. Y'all can murder the kid afterwards. Win win :seasix:

Cheaper and safer to pay a CONNtractor than a CONNvict with guards and the open chance of escape.....
Tie him up, pay be ten grand or so, plus expenses, and I will gladly blow his head off, and with a smile......:issues::seasix:

How 'bout this compromise?
He has two years to prove his innocence if the case is not supported by overwhelming facts.
Otherwise it should be done within 6 months.
Choices for execution will be hanging, electrocution and firing squad. If you are a fat lardass and pick hanging, you get over ruled and get the firing squad.
Don't or won't pick a method? Firing squad is the default choice.
It's a proven fact dead criminals do not become repeat offenders :seasix:

The only problem is you pretty much have to have overwhelming evidence to be convicted and given the death penalty anyway...
The death penalty is permanent so a small cushion should be in place.
If the guilty party wants to fast track the execution, by all means move them to the front of the line.

Lock him in a cell with a pressure cooker device like he planted. Chain him just out of reach of it and let him wonder when it will go off. It should give him something to look at and think about for a while.
I won't argue against that point, but we'll never be Singapore.
We are a country built by the "Melting Pot" philosophy. We took all the ideas in the world and let them fight it out and let the best win.
Then we started this 'Social Justice" Bullshit and started a downward trend.
Let's move back to what made America Exceptional VS what's makes idiots feel good about themselves.
