Moody's cut Chicago's bond rating two notches, from Baa2 to Ba1. Junk bonds. Big surprise. This should help up on our journey to become the next Detroit.
:slap:
I have been saying it for years---Chicago may see a city income tax.
Elections have consequences.

Didn't Obama just say he was selecting Chicago for his library ? Coincidence ?

:)
Most likely due to the court ruling that the Illinois method of funding ( or not funding) pension programs for State and local employees is illegal.
The public employee unions got shafted by the very people they helped get elected. Then those elected officials decided not to fund their pensions and used the money to buy even more votes
And Public employee union that contributed too or Endorsed the losers and liars who stole their pension funds are just as culpable and deserve to suffer for their actions.
Wait for business and more wealth to escape the state before they get assets taken.
