So the past couple weeks I've finally finished up the rough framing..
2 offices, bathroom, mechanical room and the food lab.
OK everything g but the ceilings. Lol

Still have a couple small things to do but for the most part drywall will be ready to go up Wednesday after the 2x8x20's are installed for the lab ceiling.
Plumbing and electrical has been done and inspected.

I noticed "air break hallway" in the drawing. Just a fancy name for doors separated by more than an arm's length?

Whatever, only one place to go poop. Better hope his drinkin' buddies don't show up. Need a two holer at a minimum. WTFO?

If his drinkin' buddies show up they can always use the sinks in the lab. :leaving:

Air breaks do a great job when its -40 outside. My door is also a full insulated exterior door with a threshold. Not an interior door.

I just finished setting up my stereo and TV. Too bad I can't get the fight. Cost is over $1k because I'm a business and not residential. :(

The shitter is awesome. Its a comfort height(sits 17" off the floor) and elongated. So stuffing your junk in there ain't so bad. :D

This is a food grade lab to produce e-liquids for ecigarettes for Canadas largest producer.

I have taken over the retail side of the business aND a few of the small wholesale accounts.

Looks like you have a great start Mike. Don't you love that flex plumbing pipe over the old copper stuff? It's so fast to install and easy to fix.
I could live in a shop like that!

Is there a huge market for that stuff? So it's like tar and nicotine in a vapour form in those things? :bilmem:

I hope you got a huge government grant for the new startup. It IS :canada: after all. :D

Yeh, Super Shitter.....got one in the hall batch, elongated too, the one in the old master bath WAS one of them but the old 50 gallon type, so I put in a round bucket 1.3 and managed to cheat a bit and get it back up against the wall as it belongs.....

To be honest the location is secret except to a few people. As far as anyone knows its a bottling plant under a numbered corporation.
We are preparing to continue business in case this whole thing goes underground.

It is so that when you open the door to the outside, all the cold air doesn't come blowing through the entire building.

The lab and office and mechanical room are fully completed.
Exterior walls of the rooms I built haven't been mudded or taped and the bathroom has a toilet and sink. The rest is an after thought. It has taken me almost 3 months by myself to complete this except for the electrical and plumbing contractors doing their thing.
Had almost a 3 week wait with the first electrician in the span of this project which put the kibosh on things early.

Pics coming in the next few minutes.
First day of production is Monday.

Expensive HEPA Air Cleaner. Will clean the air 8 times an hour in this room.
IQAir’s HyperHEPA filtration is proven to stop the smallest, most harmful particles in the air all the way down to 0.003 microns – the smallest particles that exist. That includes viruses, bacteria, pollution particles and other contaminants.
The Cleanroom Series provides maximum control of airborne particulates. It is designed for cleanrooms, labs and other environments up to Class 100.
Bacteria, viruses, combustion particles and virtually any other particles in the air are efficiently and effectively removed by the Cleanroom Series.

Only thing left to do is fill all screw heads with an anti-microbial silicone.
Everything in the lab is NSF certified including tables, shelving systems and sink.

Mike,

Why is this necessary? is this a .Gov rule that you must go with for your business?

Mike,

The stuff we are producing in the lab is being ingested by the end user. Need to keep the air quality under control so nothing harmful gets in the product.
It also positive pressures the room so when a door opens it pushes the air out instead of sucking contaminents in the room.

The one I have is the smallest FDA approved unit that's available.
It's also the only stand alone unit that is approved.
Eventually I will have to go to a larger unit with an integrated HVAC unit attached. Any air from the HVAC unit passes through the Air cleaner before it enters the room.

Those are in the $15-20k range though.
