I don't envy Leto and director David Ayer. They need a Joker that is the equal of Ledger, without cribbing off of him. Ayer is pointing at the Killing Joke version of the Joker as a starting point for the Squad's clown, and that isn't a bad place to start, but this tattoo stuff is a bit meta, and weird...

Looks better than expected. When I saw the green hair in paparazzi shots I wasn't very optimistic. This gives some optimism.

I'm interested to see what Leto does with Joker. If this truly is a "Killing Joke" version of Joker, then he is going to be one sick f'k. It will be far more maniacal and insane than the PG-13, kid friendly versions of the Joker we've seen in the past. Harley Quinn is also in this move so it should be...interesting.
