I just can't wait to get out in the lower Niagara river....The salmon are monsters down there.....They try to swim upstream, and climb the falls..:omg:

I caught a 135lb marlin in Cabo....It was the thrill of a lifetime, even though 135lbs is relatively small for a marlin....The first two jumps out of the water were unforgettable....:yesnod:....That should be on everyone's to do list before they die....

Nice boat. I spent many hours trolling on Lake Ontario and fishing Salmon River in NY. One of my best buddies growing up is a charter boat captain there. Are you putting up a canopy up. I went on another buddy's boat once without a roof. It was brutal.

Nice boat  You definitely want a roof when you're trolling, makes for an easier day on the water. A BIG plus is when it starts raining, you'll be nice and dry while the other folks are forced into rain gear.
Here's what I use for lake trout

24' Starcraft pontoon with a 115 Merc and a 9.9hp four stroke for trolling. Two electric Cannon down riggers with 10lb "fish shaped" weights. I have stackers too so we can run multiple lines off of each down rigger.

No worries about black flies. Just keep everything closed up, and fire up the bug zapper than runs off the inverter
