Whovever was in the little white car has to be hurt :sadangel:
There ought to be a harsh penalty if you hurt people or damage property while running from the cops. Maybe charge the fleeing suspect with attempted murder if he hurts an innocent motorist?

They banned high speed chases around here years ago. Too much collateral damage. :sadangel:
Let the radios and the air LEOs catch high speed criminals. They're harder to outrun. :yesnod:

Why do they always reach back into the car?

Damn, that's near my old job @ SanJac. That section of Wallisville is ALWAYS busy. Dude was in a school zone (or just passed one) when he crashed. Could have been a LOT worse.

It "can be" worse than you think. Some insurance policies won't cover damage caused by this kind of thing. They expect the municipality to cover it.

When your dog is running away, what do you to? Chase after it like a game, or keep an eye on it, and prepare to catch the dog around the next corner? There's too many innocent deaths and injuries related to police chances, it's time to stop endangering everybodys lives for something a good camera and a radio could replace.

I wouldn't expect the insurance company that insured the fleeing driver's car to cover my loss, even if the car was not stolen. I'm pretty sure using your car to run for the police is not covered in most policies. I would, however, expect my own collision/uninsured motorist/pip/med pay coverage to cover it, then subrogate against the fleeing driver who hit me. Of course, chances are that fleeing driver is a scumbag that doesn't have a house or other assets to go after anyway.

18 yo girl in the white car, she's been in the hospital all day, no broken bones, no trauma, however she has no recollection of the crash

I know this. I am going to be double sure to not even LOOK like I am gonna run if I get pulled over because they will be looking to shoot a white guy just to prove they aren't racist.

I don't get it. Why didn't a good law abiding citizen shoot the tires out or something. :leaving:
We should disarm the police so guys like this don't get hurt. He has every right to be a dangerous criminal. I'm sure his mom says he's a nice boy.
High speed chases are stupid.
"Well captain, we finally did catch up with the driver who ran. There was a million dollars in property damage and two innocent fatalities. But hey, his tail light was out and he didn't come to complete stop on that right on red...book em Dano"

My '72 vette convertible has the license/reg/ins in the middle compartment behind the seats.....gets blown around too much if in the 'map' pocket on pass side....
so that means I have to get outta the car, or at least open the door so I can spin my legs out, lean back and get to the lid....can't win.....:issues::lol:
Update: The perps family had the obligatory news conference with our local race baiter talking about "he didn't have to die." Noticeably absent from the news conference was an apology to the 3 people Mr. Fleeing Felon almost killed. I guess their lives don't matter.
