Spending this week in the Williamsburg area visiting with the inlaws. Leaving for LAX in an hour...Red Eye Flight.
I like my parents in law and all, but honestly I'm a homebody these days...would prefer to spend it at the cabin fishing or something.
I'll post some pictures if I do anything interesting. Kind of want to see Yorktown. :yesnod:
I hate flying also. At least the flight is first class. :seasix:

Thank you for visiting the communistwealth of VA. I was born and raised there, and ain't goin' back. Cops are like Nazis, they tax you for everything, laws are way more strict than they need to be etc. Too bad there is so much wonderful history there.:sadangel:

I think I would prefer the cabin myself. But, ya gotta do what you gotta do. Just enjoy it.

Don't speed and you will be fine. Virginia is a "must issue" state, and open carry is legal.
Just sayin'
You should be on the ground by now. Have fun :seasix::shots:

If you have time, go see Mt Vernon, George Washington's home. Of all the historical sites I have seen, nothing gave me a sense of history like standing in that man's home. Decent gift shop and lunch joint there, too.

That's the cool thing about the area. There's so much history to see. Me and an ex spent an entire week in DC seeing as much as we could. We'd start around 8am and get back around 7-8pm everyday. At the end of the week, we were tired but had a fun time seeing so much history. Additionally, we barely scratched the surface on seeing everything.

Lots of events on the 150th Appomattox anniversary. I was tempted to go up there myself.
