This is from a 2013 interview. I realize that we all get old, and I know that Gene Wilder beat non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma years ago...but he seems...detached...not comprehensive, or something. Or is he just being his clever self?

My grandfather had Alzheimer's and I see a lot of similarities. Able to talk about the past very easily and in detail, but conversationally speaking was a challenge.
