I keep getting an error message about the length of my message being too short and that it needs to be at least 2 characters. Anyone else seeing this?

Are you quoting something without adding a comment? That's the only time I see it.

I could post War and Peace and quick reply and get that message.

I made some changes to the quick reply javascript about a week ago, this might be an unintended byproduct of that.

I (just now) disabled the 2 character minimum requirement, but that might not eliminate the error...Let me know if it persists. Also, those of you experiencing this error, what browser are you using?

I am using Firefox.

I also typed "problem still occurring" after hitting the back button and it didn't show.

So it still happened when you posted this?

And when did you notice this problem started?

edit

I just did the quick reply and it worked for me. This is the first time I've used the quick reply in months.

Yes. Seems it's been about a week.

OK, I've reverted the js change I made last week, let me know if it's good now or continues.

(I just want to be sure it is a function of that and not coincidental).

I keep getting a message about the length being too short...

are you sure you want to announce this... to the entire forum ?

2 posts this morning with no issues, yet.The reason only you and Hoog experienced this is because you have both changed to the enhanced WYSIWYG reply editor in your UserCP options.

It did not affect the standard (default) reply editor, so few others experienced it. That was not something I tested for functionality (or even realized was related) when I made that script change last week. That change has been undone for now, this problem should be solved.
