No cable or sateltite here, so I'm looking at Netflix to see what I'm missing. Went through all seasons of The Shield last year. Overall, I liked it, but it got kind of soap operaish after a couple of seasons.
I'm into season two of The Wire now. It's good too, but moves a little slower than The Shield did. Much more T&A though.

I watch some shows on Netflix. Not that we canceled satellite or anything, but some older seasons, etc.

Works great.

Do you get commercials too? I get edgy if I don't see commercials during a show.

So far, I haven't found anything that's streamable (not that the streamable stuff has commercials either). I just get the DVDs.

I still haven't tried Netflix.

I'm still paying my cable company hundreds of dollars every month for tons of services, and only using 1% of them.

haven't seen a commercial yet...most of them are streams of the episodes from the DVD releases, so no commercials at all.

Some of the stuff that's newer is from Stars, which is commercial free.

Not positive about the other newer stuff, but I've never heard anyone mention commercials.

I use and abuse Netflix. Most of the newer stuff isn't on there yet, but a good deal of the older stuff is. I can watch some of the streaming stuff while waiting for the DVDs to come in for stuff that isn't available for streaming yet so it's no issue. Matter of fact, I'm going to basic cable so I can get just the the network channels. I've hooked up a TV tuner but the way my house is laid out I can't get very good reception.

I did check out Hulu, too, and thought what they were offering sucked the wanky.
