You must avoid, at all costs, those "brokers" who are not really in the business of moving cars with their own trucks, but who instead contract for available space on existing truckers.
I have personally been burned by these f'rs. Whatever you do, do NOT use any transport service that is located on Long Island, NY. There is a fecking thief who keeps changing his company's name. When he ripped me off for $850.00, the company was named AutoTrail Transporters.

I like it!
In FL, blue lights are for LE and red is for Fire/EMS.
Is it the other way around in that state?

You and me both...a good one will run up to 50K or more and the rusted ones are just that, rusted out.
That is why I switched my look over to a single cab so it will just be me and the dog heading to cruise nights. :yesnod:
Yamma has her eye on something new as well, but that is a whole different thread.

We used Exotic Car Transport based out of Orlando, FL who serve the entire country. They did an excellent job with our GS. In the carrier was a 911 GT3 and a new Bentley. The price was excellent as was the customer service.

I think they were a little cheaper than others but they are all pretty close. It was $1190 one way which was 1118 miles.

Wow, that is a good deal.
So far, Exotic has told me they do not come this far north, so...that is a no-go, but they told me to call Sunday Transport
and Intercity is $1900
Charge from Exotic to ship my 06 Vette from Atlanta to Destin was $500.00. Maxie Price picked up the tab.

Dixie,
Just make absolutelydamncertain that the company you go with is not located on Long Island, NY (Sayville or West Sayville in particular).
My apologies to any legitimate transport companies that this might include, but sorry... that bastard at (former) AutoTrail Transport has f'd things up for you.

So far, the guys at American Auto Transport have actually been the easiest to work with and seem to be able to pickup and deliver sooner than any of the other transporters. (on top of being the cheapest)
They are located in Davie, FL.

:iagree: I was very careful when I searched for mine. I've shipped several cars.. never used the same one just because of timing. But if they don't own the truck I don't want to talk to them... period.

Anytime someone asks this on FerrariChat the first thing people say is "none of them are perfect and shit happens". Intercity and Exotic Car seem to rise to the top and Reliable and Horseless Carriage go to the bottom with Horseless having some terrible "stories".
YMMV, just what I've read over there.

I guess that really is the bottom line. Anything can happen.
Trying to stay with a group that actually has their own trucks is best. The rest is just luck.
