Targa and paddles would be the only winner over this one.

You would really get a slush box?

I've chased a few prancing horses and driven my SL. Fast shifts are very tempting.

Doesn't the manual blip the throttle too?

You'll lose your edge. Being a road racer vs. an autocrosser, I understand the temptation, but being fast in an automatic, vs. being the winner in a standard transmission still has bragging rights. ;)

Brakes are hella expensive. You can't buy "regular" tires. I'd pass.

Brake rotors are carbon fiber and require special care. No wheel / rim cleaners can come in contact with the rotor itself plus extreme care must be taken when removing or installing the rims. A minor bump can cause the layers to flake causing the expensive rotor to be replaced due to damage.

Kurt ( formerly at Phoenix Performance ) showed me the 7 page GM printout on proper handling and care of the rotors. When the car was brand new, rotors were $1800 EACH.

Kurt is now at County Corvettes. He and Joe had parting of ways.

Yeah but moving the shifter still takes time. :-(
