Anybody ever have a CD stuck in the player but the holder itself is in the magazine? I have the magazine out with all the plastic holders in it, CD 3 is not in the holder, it's in the player and I tried using needle nose pliers with tape on them to get the CD to come out but it's stuck. I got it about 1/3 the way out but feel like I'm starting to force things. Is there some sort of trick here? :leaving:

Did you try taking the appropriate fuse out for a few minutes, then reinserting? Kind of like giving the car a reboot?

It's physically stuck in there without its plastic carrier. It's like tried to eject the pair (CD + carrier) and only the carrier made it back into the magazine. I think I'll pull the thing out of the trunk and see if I can get it out that way.

Took it out, got some decent light, and extracted Godsmack Faceless CD. Changer is fine now, Godsmack CD...not so much. I could always burn one but honestly IDGAF about it.

Oh, and one more thing. It was a Pioneer 12 CD changer, not a Bose. The last person to drive the car, when the changer was working, was my wife. So, obviously she did something wrong. :leaving:

Since she clearly hit something hard enough to knock the CD from its holder, you really need to get your vehicle up on a lift to make sure the frame is still straight.

Nah, she would have told me. She just had to drive it to work and back a couple of times a few months ago when her car was in the shop. When I first started the car yesterday the CD started playing just fine, I just tried to change discs and that's when it started acting up. Who knows.

I need to get the oil changed probably, it's been awhile (although not a lot of miles) and I'll have my buddy check it out when that's done.

:funny: We really do need a sarcasm font here.

I traded in a '97 F-150 that had a multi-CD changer behind the seat with one CD that would not eject.

That truck is perpetually "living and dying in 3/4 time" :D:Jeff '79:

What, no Godsmack Faceless CD stuck in there? :D

CC, yeah, I wouldn't feel too bad about losing that one. It would forever bother me if I lost a Jimmy Buffett one though. :leaving:

If only it was a Buffett CD, I would have forgone the tape on the needle nose pliers.
