View Full Version : Uh-oh... another possible snowmageddapocalypse for Atlanta next week
Glen Burns just said next Wednesday a big front is moving in, rain changing over to snow followed by several days of the coldest temps we've seen this winter... high temps in the 20's!
EEEEEEEAAAAAAARRRRRRRGH! :willy:

Us northerners changed the settings on the weather machine for all you southerners gloating when we get snow. Now you get it.

Oh, sweet Mary mother of Jesus! That means we'll get it a day before you. We just got over 2 days of sleet and freezing rain, closed bridges, frozen peckers, etc.
Here's the one for Houston.

SALEM, N.H. (CBS) – Police constantly warn drivers to take it slow if you have to drive in these stormy conditions to avoid spinouts.
A car on Interstate 93 took it a frightening step further Tuesday.
It started to slide off the road southbound near exit 2, according to the Eagle Tribune, when it crashed and somehow ended up on its nose, the front end buried in the snow.

What you really need is to assemble major media from all over the world for a large sporting event when it hits.
Oh wait --

Oh, feck! God DAMN, I left the North to get away from this damned crap! This is starting to piss me off! 20's? :nono: That's for polar bears!
Where the hell is General B. Lee??? I'm going to kick his furry ass!
It was raining with thunder and lightning and a whopping 35 degrees when I was there earlier this week.
Not sure of the appeal of Atlanta but people who live there seem to like it.

I don't live there, but I can see why folks love their Hotlanta. Drive down Peachtree (the one that goes through Buckhead) and just watch the money on parade--Jags, Benzes, Ferraris--beautiful women, breathtaking old and new homes, major venue for concerts, shopping on a par with NYC and Dallas (but you can actually get to it!). And two damn Ritz-Carltons (WTF?).
:willy: How do you get out without the car falling on you?
Very carefully .
:willy: how did it not hit that other car?
The other car was probably looking at the crashed car and drove off the road.

Took the dog out this morning, and the canal behind the house was frozen. Pretty crazy, but the warmup starts today.
