It is called BLACK ICE which happens when the road surface is below freezing and a cold rain comes along, and freezes on the road, which of course looks WET, it's not, it's black ice....ASSfault is more prone to the condition because it freezes more than 6" of concrete....but I place no bets....
and as you go over a hill/mountain that shit will form on one side or the other and conditions change in a nanosecond......
be screwed without benefit of fun....:issues::issues::shots:.....

So why did the guy filming not help somebody? Looks like the truck driver had to be shaken up, there was a car on fire on the other side. :confused5: :confused5:

Yeah, just hop on out onto the black ice covered, 8-lane highway while trucks are still flying past...

To each his own. I couldn't just drive away from an accident.
Firemen run into burning buildings and it doesn't seem foolish.
Policeman charge into shootouts and it doesn't seem foolish.
Lifeguards swim into riptides and it doesn't seem foolish.
I would have done something.

But you would move out of the danger area before you rendered aid, right? The video shows his car is still in the line of fire and if that rig hadn't jumped the barrier, he'd have been squashed. The video then ends, and we don't know if the guy rendered aid or not.

Firemen sign up for that.
Policemen sign up for that.
Lifeguards sign up for that.
Beside that, for all you know, this guy could have rendered aid after the video cuts off.

I signed up for it as a fellow human. :seasix:
And yes perhaps he did help after the video stops. I'll go with that.

If he was an off-duty-any of those things he would have been legally obligated to stop and render aid.
