I'm coming into remission finally and can see clearly what direction I need to go in my business.

Over the last few years, I've done a lot of different things - but my core capability is marketing and sales planning. Not exactly the sexiest profession but it works.

I have been rewriting and redesigning my web site - Website here (http://www.claritymarketingsupport.com/)

I've also started a free weekly video cast where I actually show the world how I do it so they can do it with or without me.

It's all about creating a steady stream of opportunities for small businesses.

Would you fine gents and ladies take a quick gander and give me some feedback?

Big things:

Is the message clear?
Is the call to action clear?
What could be better?
What sucks donkey balls?

First two minute video here: Marketing is a Decision Making Process (http://www.claritymarketingsupport.com/marketing-is-a-decision-making-process/)

Next video launches Thursday. I'm shooting three more in my studio today.

If you have a business sign up. It's free and I'm going to bust my ass to make it really useful.

My marketing concept is to give away all my knowledge. A certain percentage of people will hire me to help them but I won't send them anything but useful stuff (no sales pitches).

I'll even show them how to create a system that creates incoming business. For free.

Cubsmurf - please ignore the audio sound. I've fixed it. (Had a setting wrong on the wireless so I had to filter out some hiss). Otherwise, rip it up brother.

These videos are designed to be shot, edited and released FAST.

Too bad I'm all moon faced from Prednisone in these first ones. Oh well. I'm not competing with Brad Pitt.

I will check out your site and links later tonight as I have company here at the house tonight right now.

Let me know if there is anything I can do to help Pete.

We do need to update your limited time offer ads sometime soon. :seasix:

I am not a good person to review, and provide input (as an aerodynamics engineer I didn't participate in many marketing activities). I did watch the video and checked out the website. It looks good to me, and the video was straight forward and easy to follow and understand. The folks with some marketing expertise can hopefully provide better input to you.

I am happy to hear that your health is improving, and that you have the energy to move forward with this project.

Best of luck!

I'm just glad your health is on the mend. Without it, marketing or any other talent is useless. :yesnod::hurray:

Well put together website, good content.

Your soul patch looks off center and is annoying on the video.

I'll look further into your site and offerings, currently working on a consulting project for few different companies, one being very similar to your.

Thanks all. Having outside objective input is valuable. Even if marketing is not your thing.

The biggest thing is I want to be known as the guy that solves marketing problems with a systematic, logical process.

Engineers usually get this concept. In fact, the reason they think marketing is fluffy nonsense is they have witnessed bad marketers that don't actually know what they are doing.

Hey Pete,

Just saw this today and have to say it looks really good. I have a VERY minor gripe and it's about where your eyes are looking. You're not looking directly in the camera and you aren't looking at an 'interviewer', so you're kind of looking in between and it looks 'off' to me (since that's what I've been trained to look for, etc.) Again, this is a very small gripe and something I'm not sure 99% of people would notice but it's a small detail that can make it look even more polished. You have a couple of different ways to 'fix' this...

1) Look directly in camera (without prompter) and do a more 'free flow' version of your content.
2) Put more space between you and the camera. I can tell you are very close to the camera and thus your eyes have to move more to read the prompter. If you put some distance between you and the camera your eyes don't have to 'turn' as much. And extreme example of this would be standing dead center on the goal line on a football field, if you you have to look at the sidelines you are looking 90 degrees either way. Now if you look at the other end you only have to turn 45 degrees.
3) Go for an 'interviewed' style of video. I'll send you a PM with a link so I don't spam your thread:)

I really liked how you changed the shots during the video instead of a straight up talking head the whole time. I suggest changing the focal length of your shot when you do that. Again my link will show an example of that...When I am interviewing someone, I change the focal length after each question. If I start wide then my next question will be a tight shot, and vice versa. That way if you are in a major time crunch you'll have essentially built-in edits without having to add in cutaways or cover with b-roll.

Again, VERY nice job! And feel free to tell me to pound sand:) Glad you are on the mend!
