I should have mentioned that I want to steer clear of Mexico. I know several agents who do work down there. I'll check out Montauk. Cuba would be interesting!

If you're looking for peace, tranquility, with no commercialization, I suggest Tybee Island GA. It's just below Savannah. Great restaurants, locally owned and operated. VERY casual. Think Margaritaville.:seasix:

I have thought about heading over to Bogo. I have heard it is nice and lots of fun things to do. You ever been there?

Which city, which section of the city, and which bar in the section of city? :D

Sorry OP, I know I've derailed ya but, as with all things here, we'll get back around to that too. :seasix:

Here's another vote: Crete. My buddy James, 69camfreak, is another to a long list of folks that go there and say it's the bees knees.

No, I've never made it to Bohol. I've heard good things about it just never made it. Tagaytay, Baguio, La Union, 100 Islands, Hidden Valley, Palawan and Batangas are all recommends though. :seasix::cert:

Grand Caymans. They have a small stretch of beach called 7 mile beach. If you are feeling adventurous, swim with stingrays or free dive on the Kittiweck. But the beach is great.

Plus only 4 hours from Dulles airport.

If you're in decent shape, Maho Bay USVI is the best stay I have ever had. White white sand, blue blue water. You stay in screen huts on stilts; the food is divine and the Rum is inexpensive. The only drawback is since the entire resort is set up to be as eco friendly as possible access to everywhere is via raised boardwalks and stairs. For instance, from our cabin to the beach there were 315 stairs to descend and climb each way. Worth the effort though.

It would depend on budget. Mode of transportation. And if you want to leave the country.

If you've never seen the pink sand of the beaches in Burmuda you should put it on your list. Beautiful beaches, old world British background. Low crime and lots of history. We stayed at a beautiful Victorian hotel that included hot breakfast served in your room, and a sandwich lunch mid afternoon with 'honour' bar. Dirt low prices on the bar ..
the name was the Rosedon House....about a block from the beach. :seasix:

Sorry.

We booked the Ritz Carlton in Puerto Rico on a whim this evening. $195 per night so fairly reasonable...we'll see.

I hear Bantayan Island is nice any time of year.

It's kinda chilly here lately, low 80's during the day, and gets way down to the low 70's at night.

Haven't had to use the electric fan for months now but saves on the bill.

I thought about going some place with snow for a vacation.. but that thought left pretty quickly

See you this weekend Rob. :seasix:

Remember where we were stuck at the bus terminal for hours waiting to hitch a ride to the city your first trip over?

MC & Aggie ran over to grab some Angel's burgers while we were waiting.. :D

If you guys want to head over here you have a free place to stay in our guest house facing the white sand beach when you get here..

You can rent motorcycle to get around for about $5 a day over in town.

And other than the flight over.. it will be the cheapest vacation you ever took.

:iagree: Once you are there.....there is plenty to see/do.....or not do a dang thing at all. :dixie:

I err on the side of doing very little for as long as possible or until someone comes up with a better plan. :Jeff '79:
