What's the deal with these movies? They seem to be nothing but gore, but I was talking to somebody (somebody whom I've learned to doubt everything she says) and they say there's a really good story line and that it's actually got a great scare factor.

Yep, all I had to do was consider the source. She was telling me how it was so scary because it could really happen and it could be the guy next door and you'd never know it.

I doubt she's even seen them.

Plain and simple gratuitous gore, like Hostel. They have their good points (boobs)

The first two were pretty good but after that they started going downhill to the point that I don't even watch them anymore.

Saw 6 can't possibly be as bad as the first Friday the 13th, so I'll see it - if nothing else but morbid curiosity. :chainsaw:

I recently saw "The Collector". Puts 'em all to shame. That was a seriously f'd up movie that I gave a full 5 stars. :hurray:
