Anyone have a Kahr p380 pistol?

Gun show is this weekend and i want a new pocket gun. I like my Ruger LCP but it just feels cheap and the Kahr is said to be a nicer gun.

Anyone here own one? If so how do you like it and has it ever not worked... OH, and what ammo do you run in it for Self Defense?

I've never had a Kahr .380, but I 've had several other Kahrs. They've always performed flawlessly.

I looked at another .380 yesterday and I can't remember the brand, but it looked almost exactly like a small glock. The guys in the gun store were saying they are selling like crazy. I wished I could remember the brand.

I have a .40 caliber. I like th egun but it takes some getting used to. Th etrigger pull is long that is their built in saftey once you get used to it it is a great gun

I have a Kahr PM9. I've had no failures with it, and it's great for something quick and small to throw in my pocket when it's too warm for a jacket.

Taurus has a cool looking little .380 also...the TCP. I almost bought one recently but picked up the Ruger LCP instead.

I like the Kahr but didn't want to put that much $$ into a pocket pistol.

I strongly recommend against any Taurus automatic. They're complete and utter shite.

The one I had was even worse than their reputation, jamming or stovepiping every other round. I got rid of that turd.

:iagree: I would not get a Tuarus for serious social work. The Kahr is another matter. I got back from the SHOT Show and was seriously impressed. I would think about the .40 S & W. The one with the polymer frame is very light with a serious caliber. It is not much heavier than a .380 A.C.P.

I would go with a couple of Glaser Safety Slugs, less risk to bystanders with devastating effect on perps, followed by some Federal Hydra-Shok. JMHO
