do you talk with your SO? I'm only talking about when you're not physically together, and I'm assuming that at least one of you works full-time outside of the home and that you are physically apart a substantial portion of the weekday. Talk of course includes phone, IM, e-mail, or whatever communication you use.

If I'm out of the house I will call her before I come home to see if she needs anything from the store. Most of our years together we had jobs where it's not good to get interrupted with personal phone calls unless it was really urgent.

So I'd have to say not very much. Once a day on the average.

Average is probably half a dozen or so. The majority of that though has to do with material choices, contractors, etc, with our real estate projects or our kids. Also when either of us is traveling for work we tend to text more to check in and see how everthing is going, once again with the kids.

When both of us are in town, and we don't have a property in play it'll literally be once a day just to see if one of us is on our way home.

We text 70% of the time. When we know the other is driving we call as all the cars have Bluetooth. When we are traveling for work its normally 20 minute facetime sessions at 7pm. Technology is awesome. :yesnod:

My most SO does not have a smart phone, regular phone and only speaks when he's ready to come in or wants a treat. He's the best!

My wife, on the other hand, usually texts me at work a couple of times a week. She rarely calls. BTW, she is fond of the dog, too.

After the last typhoon we had here my wife and kids lived in the guest house while the roof was being repaired for a few weeks, and I stayed in the house upstairs on the dry side by my desk where the computer is just for being lazy and easy.

So peaceful an quiet! I kinda enjoyed it to be honest.. LOL!

Don't get me wrong.. I really do love my wife and kids, but dang they are kinda a noisy pain in da ass sometimes.. :lol:
