Looks "Ferrariesque"

What the Corvette would have looked like if his name had been Zora Arkus Duntini.:yesnod:

That is nice looking!

I think the other red one and the blue one are even more Ferrari-esque...

I think I remember one of these being sold at Barrett-Jackson a few years ago. Can't remember how much.

Can I get that with meatballs and marinara sauce?

They used Corvette running gear in those, some 283s and some 327s. Nice looking classics.

Thanks, top pix only though, and sorry, maybe because I owned a '60 vette in '66, same red, and a vert.....that just ruins it for me....oh well, it's NICE and all but they went way too far in the custom stuff, lost the feel of the car....

oh well.....:cert:

oh well.....:cert:but

Actually, three Corvette chassis were sent to Italy to be rebodied in lightweight alloy. There was no "customizing" in the plan. Only one was completely finished by the builder, while #2 + 3 were sent back without interiors.

FWIW - GHIA AIGLE of Switzerland custom bodied a 1954 Corvette chassis, complete w/ blue flame 6, in 1957. This one REALLY looks like a Ferrari, despite the odd color. Looks FAR better in the silver livery it currently wears...

Don't forget the Rondine by Pinin Farina...

The Rondine is on the C2 chassis, right? Now that I see those pics, I'm pretty sure that was what was for sale at Barrett-Jackson, not the one in the OP.

Indeed, a 360hp Fuelie '63 chassis and running gear. It did sell at BJ, in 2008. Hammered at $1.6M...
