That album was the cornerstone of me discovering my love of Jazz.

Funny anecdote about Miles Davis. Don't know if it's more legend or truth. Probably some of each:

Miles Davis was at an event at the Reagan white house celebrating the arts. Nancy Reagan, who did not recognize him approached and asked "So what did you do to be at this event?" He replied "I changed the course of American music two or three times. Other than **** the president, what did you do?" Miles had a way with words.
