Limited HUD movement

Has anyone had a problem with the HUD not moving fully up or down? When I attempt to adjust the HUD it moves maybe an inch in either direction. I found some posts on the other site saying the plastic nipple that allows it to rotate up and down has broken off. Has anyone here replaced or repaired this piece? I haven't seen any long-term fix for this aside from replacing it.

Any ideas?

Make sure you've got a really good charge on your batt-try before you open up the dash to get to it.
