Daughter forced to kiss another student at school, father says

UNION COUNTY, NC (WBTV) - A father in Union County is upset with a school administrator after she allegedly asked his mentally challenged daughter to kiss a boy.
When Wes Corell first heard about the incident involving his daughter and a school administrator, he was livid.
"They had been on an outing that day to the mall, she asked the boy to tell my daughter she looked pretty and then after that she asked my daughter to go across the room and kiss a boy," said Corell.
The incident allegedly happened at Porter Ridge High School where Corell's daughter attends school.
He says his 20-year-old daughter is mentally challenged and told him she felt uncomfortable about the ordeal.
"She's a very sweet, obedient child, she respects authority. At the time of the incident she didn't want to do this," said Corell.
In a statement to WBTV, a spokesperson for Union County Schools said, "We take any accusations of misconduct seriously. There was an investigation and the situation has been dealt with according to the school board's policy."
The spokesperson also confirmed the administrator is still employed.
Corell says the school principal would only tell him the administrator is not allowed near his daughter's classroom. He has yet to hear exactly what happened or how she was disciplined.
"My biggest frustration is the lack of information about the investigation results," said Corell.
The Union County School Board will hold a regular meeting Tuesday night.
Corell plans to present his concerns to the board.
