Dayum my corvette value has dropped big time, meanwhile i just put new tires and new convertible top that cost more than 4k, has anyone else checked the value of their corvette and how much has it dropped?

It is a 15 year old car with a major redesign in the last year. It's to be expected IMO.

As soon as they gave a date for the Chevy SS I unloaded my G8. I probably would have unloaded my Mustang by now too but i'm waiting to see what happens with my job search as most companies give car allowances or company cars for my role.

I know my 1999 C5 wont fetch squat. It has stone chips and scratches and shows 75K miles wear. It is no garage queen for sure

Depreciation. I get bored with cars quickly too. That's why i always look for a deal too even if it requires travel. I bought my mustang in Houston and drove it back. 3 years is my max with any given car (beaters/dd's excluded)

For example I sold the G8 for within $500 of what I paid for it, and put 20k miles on it. Once the new SS came out G8 values took a hit. That's why I sold when I did. To minimize my exposure.

My C4 had kind of flat lined on value at 20 years old, not sure what it would have brought in a few more years, but I'm happy with what it brought

When I sold my 1996 C4 coupe, I got only $6k for it, but it had 106,000 miles on the clock. I paid $12k for it 5 years earlier, but it was a fun car to drive until I sold it.

Hell the engine in my C5 cost more than the entire car is currently worth.
