Up until now I've only been using point-n-shoots, but I've always explored the manual control options on my cameras to take some really nifty shots.
I've been debating for a while if I should go full DSLR, or one of the fancy new mirrorless systems, or stick with something that I'll actually be able to carry around with me.
I think I might have found it... it's a compact that's been getting rave reviews from the pro photographers that have previewed it.

Lots of pro features, manual control, and a great lens.
